FREE NITROX - a big success at Bonaire Dive and Adventure

On November 1st, 2004, Bonaire Dive & Adventure (BD&A) on the island of Bonaire, began offering free upgrades to NITROX 32. All certified Nitrox Divers who book a pre-paid condo & dive package at the Sand Dollar Condominium Resort or at Den Laman Appartments, are eligible for this free upgrade. All other divers have the option to upgrade their air package to Nitrox, at ½ the normal price. The first three months of this Free Nitrox offer were a big success. Of course, all nitrox certified divers were happily surprised by the offer. They could hardly believe that this was not a temporary promotion, but BD&A assures that the Free Nitrox offer will be permanent. "Safety in diving is an important issue for us," they say, "and we want all our divers to use the extra safety that diving Nitrox gives them."

Every day since the first of November, BD&A has been teaching Nitrox certification courses at affordable rates for many divers that were not yet Nitrox certified. BD&A offers the PADI Discover Nitrox Diver certification for $79.00. After completing this 60-minute course, the diver is certified to use Nitrox 32 to dive with air tables to a maximum depth of 100 feet, providing an extra safety margin. The more in-depth PADI Nitrox Specialty (including Nitrox tables) is $129.00.
